TELANGANA - ENAKKUTHANA ILLA UNAKKUTHANA

To do or Not to do.

This is what Sonia, Manmohan and Chidambaram must be thinking and having sleepless nights. Holy Cow. What a mess they have dropped everyone in Andhra including themselves. Now the big question is how are they going to wriggle out of this without hurting the common man.

It is real catch 22 situation. One section wants Telangana and other section wants no division of Andhra. Fantastic, a classy example of imbroglio. Now Mr. Chidambaram, what do you intend to do.?

But as a common man, I do have suggestion. But this suggestion is not one of my original suggestion it was my friend at work who suggested this when we were having a lunch(Thanks Amitava it was a brilliant idea).

His suggestion was to rename the Andhra Pradesh as Telangana Pradesh instead of splitting Andhra. This way TRS guys got their demand fulfilled and as for the Andhra guys, they never had to split their state as Telangana and Andhra. As we say in Hindi, “chith bhi teri aur phat bhi tera”. Please do think over this Mrs Sonia, Mr. Manmohan and Mr. Chidambaram. I personally feel this is a fantastic idea which will satisfy everyone including you.

Jokes apart, now to the reality. I am really saddened by the way things are going around here. I am sure most of the Indians will feel the same. The Britishers when they walked in, they brought this great idea of divide and rule. As they thought it will be very difficult to control India if it is united. And indeed they succeeded in doing so.

Now our great politicians, even after 60 years of independence still doing the same thing. They are dividing us by Caste, Religion, language and region. We all should be ashamed at what we have achieved in these sixty years of independent governance. We make constituencies based on caste. States based on language. Why do we have to do that? Can we not have some one who is not from the reserved category be elected to the so called reserved seat or vice a versa. Why do we have do bifurcate constituencies by caste and creed. This stops us from going for the right candidate who could be anyone.

Same way, you are speaking Tamil you are Tamil nadu you speak Kannada then you are Karnataka God forbid. At this rate we will have 255 states for all the dialects that we speak in our country.

I think some one with strong political will should come and say, enough is enough stop this nonsense of dividing us by language or caste or religion and divide the states purely based on the number of people living in a particular area and how easily they administrable. It doesn’t matter, because in any case we all speak half English and half mother tongue, and most of the government communication still happens in English so it should not be problem.

Moreover, these days technology is so good, even if you release a communiqué in one language the same can be automatically translated in to other languages and be presented to the user. Nothing can deter us, except the unwillingness to keep the united India going.

I know to come to this level of maturity by our politicians its going to take a millennium. Because all they see is what they can benefit not what people will benefit. Anyways. JAI HIND.
